Working Together

Write to save yourself and someday you will write because you’ve been saved.

Anne Michaels

Throughout years of therapy addressing a childhood of sexual abuse I kept seven detailed journals documenting every feeling, action and emotion on my journey to healing. I literally “wrote to save myself” and six years later I “wrote because I had been saved.”

About Life Coaching

Joy and Love are the two most basic desires of all human beings. We strive for this our entire lives and yet most of us settle for a compromise.  It feels as though true happiness is just beyond our grasp. Challenges in life, from relocation to loss to emotionally traumatizing experiences block us from ever achieving the joy and love we so deserve. As your Life Coach I will help you discover and dissolve those blocks. Together we will set attainable goals for achieving your greatest desires. By using a holistic approach to coaching I will help you create balance in all aspects of your being; physical, emotional and spiritual with the end result being the discovery of your Next Chapter.

The Basics

Clients meet with me in person or online via Zoom Meeting.

Sessions are 50 minutes long.

We generally meet weekly for 8-12 weeks and then on an as needed basis.

Clients are expected to complete the homework we collaboratively design for reaching their goals.

I offer a free 20 min phone session to determine if Holistic Life Coaching is right for you.

What is the difference between therapy and life coaching?

There are a few main differences between therapy and life coaching. Therapy focuses on a client’s past traumas and healing old pain. Life Coaching focuses on a client’s current circumstances and setting goals for a better future. Therapy is ongoing often continuing for several years. Life Coaching is more succinct achieving the desired outcome over a period of weeks or months.

Therapy = healing the past. Life Coaching = writing the future.

What is Holistic Life Coaching?

Holistic Life Coaching bridges the gap between therapy and traditional life coaching. Therapy focuses greatly on the past. Traditional Life Coaching spends very little if any time on a client’s past. In Holistic Life Coaching we look at the past to help a client discover self-limiting beliefs, excavating the thoughts that are blocking them from moving forward.  The holistic approach encompasses all aspects of a client’s life, mind, body and spirit to help them find balance. In addition to traditional coaching’s use of goal setting and accountability, holistic coaching may incorporate meditation and visualization. Sessions in Holistic Life Coaching vary greatly from client to client whereas Traditional Life Coaching employs a more standardized approach.
